The Early Days
Chicko's began in Dapto back in 1987 as a popular take away store known as "Charcoal Chickens".
Things have changed a lot since then, we have moved to a new modern premises, introducing a larger menu as well as incorporating state of the art catering facilities.
Wollongong Store Heritage
Our Wollongong Store was once the site of another popular illawarra eatery, Southern Crepes (pictured left).
When the site was demolished in 2006 to make way for our new store, it was both the end of an era and a start of another.
Chicko's Wollongong has gone on to be one of Wollongong's hottest eateries, known for great value and quality, as well as a variety of freshly made Gelato paying homage to what once was.
